Description
This 23-year-old woman was interested in changing the shape of her nose. She was bothered by the prominent hump and wanted this reshaped so that it would have a gentle curve. She was happy with the other parts of the nose. She underwent rhinoplasty under general anesthesia as an outpatient. Using incisions inside the nose, the bump was removed. In addition, the end of the nose was modified to give her a longer upper lip. The nose was also narrowed at the base and at the nostrils. Photographs at six weeks and one year after surgery show an excellent improvement in the nasal profile and shape of the nose. She breathes very well through both sides of her nose and is happy with the contour of the tip and slope.
